Meet the Face Behind the Art

I am an artist based in rural Ontario, creating both traditional and digital artwork. I grew up at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by forest and with little screen time. That quiet, off-the-grid childhood—paired with creative parents who encouraged imagination naturally pushed me toward being imaginative to pass the time.

Books and creative play in nature with my sister fed my imagination, and my early fascination with cartoons and comics had me learning to draw from a young age so I could bring my favourite characters to life. Cartoons and comics like 101 Dalmatians, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and The Archies were my earliest inspirations, and I’d spend hours trying to recreate them on any surface I could find (sorry, Mom and Dad!).

I discovered a deeper love for art through visual arts classes and a fantastic teacher who introduced me to painting. I began working primarily in acrylics, later branching into watercolour and oil. As my traditional skills developed, so did my curiosity for digital techniques, leading me to experiment with Procreate on the iPad—a tool that now plays a key role in my creative process.

Over the years, my art has evolved from imitating existing characters to developing original work with my own voice and style. Whether working with a paintbrush or a stylus, I’m passionate about storytelling through visual art and continue to explore the endless possibilities in both traditional and digital formats.
